Multiplication Times Tables
In order to become very good at fast mental math tricks, you really need to memorize multiplication times tables. Don’t panic! All you need to concentrate on now is the basic multiplication table:

This may seem a little daunting, but it really is not. I would suggest printing it out and refer to it when you have a free moment, like waiting in line at the grocery store, etc. In no time at all, you will surprise yourself at how well you know it!
Once you have this table down pat, you may want to make up more complex multiplication times tables. For instance, make up 10 x 10 tables for the numbers 11 – 20, 21 – 30, and so on. The basic 1 – 10 table is really necessary for you to know, but the more complex times tables will give you an edge over other “math geniuses”!
